In order to produce novel genomic tests, CardioDx applies a sophisticated and state-of-the-art approach to clinical study design and product development. We begin by identifying critical clinical questions in cardiology, the answers to which have the potential to significantly change and improve patient care. By starting with a clinical need, we ensure that our studies, and the products that result from them, have direct relevance to physicians in contemporary practice.
Our experienced clinical and scientific research teams are capable of applying multiple genomic approaches (genetics, gene expression, proteomics and/or metabolomics) so that studies can be designed to effectively address these relevant clinical questions. Once designed, CardioDx has the research and development infrastructure to effectively manage concurrent, prospective, multi-center clinical programs from discovery through validation. Our studies incorporate a multi-phased approach, with ongoing review and adjudication, in alignment with approaches used by traditional medical device and biopharmaceutical companies.
