David Levison President and CEO

David Levison is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of CardioDx. Prior to launching CardioDx, David was a Venture Partner at Texas Pacific Group Ventures and was the interim Chief Executive Officer of XDx, Inc. a molecular diagnostic company focused on the immune system. Previously, he was the founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of iScribe, a healthcare technology company acquired by AdvancePCS (now Caremark) in December, 2001. Prior to iScribe, David was President of Oncology Therapeutics Network (OTN), which was acquired by Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1996. David also served as Chief Financial Officer of OTN's parent company, Axion, from 1990 to 1993. Prior to Axion, he was with Cole Gilburne Fund, an early stage, technology-focused venture capital firm. David received his M.B.A. from Stanford University and B.S. from Williams College.


Steven Rosenberg, Ph.D. Chief Scientific Officer

Steven Rosenberg joined CardioDx in 2006 and is responsible for the scientific staff and research and development programs in the areas of genomics, genetics, and informatics. Prior to joining CardioDx, Steven served for three years as the Chief Scientific Officer of XDx, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company focused on diseases of the immune system. He led the group responsible for developing AlloMap, a molecular diagnostic for heart transplant patients, the first genomics based test in transplant immunology. In addition, Steven is currently on the Board of Directors of KMT Hepatech as well as the Scientific Advisory Boards of Nodality, Inc. and XDx. Prior to XDx, Steven spent a year as a consultant and visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. From 1981 to 2001 he was at Chiron Corporation where he was named one of only three Chiron Research Fellows in the company's history. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley and is the author of more than 40 scientific publications and an inventor on more than 20 United States Patents.


Deborah L. Kilpatrick, Ph.D. Vice President, Market Development

Deborah joined CardioDx in 2006 as Vice President, Market Development, and is responsible for all facets of market preparation, product marketing, and reimbursement. Prior to joining CardioDx she spent 9 years at the Vascular Intervention Division of Guidant Corporation where her roles included Research Fellow, Director of Research and Technology Development, and Director of New Ventures. Deborah serves on the Advisory Boards for the Georgia Institute of Technology's College of Engineering and the Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience. She is on the Board of Directors for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation and is a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering. Deborah has received a Rising Star award from the Healthcare Businesswoman's Association and a Spotlight Award from the Professional Women's Healthcare Alliance. Deborah holds multiple U.S. patents and a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a focus in cardiovascular bioengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.


Eric Sandberg Vice President, Sales

Eric Sandberg joined CardioDx in October of 2008 as Vice President, Sales.  He has 14 years of experience in the medical technology industry with Guidant Corporation and Boston Scientific in a variety of sales, marketing, and business development leadership roles. Most recently, he held Sales Director positions in the Vascular Intervention and Cardiac Rhythm Management divisions. Eric's early career was spent with Eli Lilly and Company in various engineering roles.  He received his B.S., magna cum laude, in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.


Jeff Heer Vice President, Operations and Administration

Jeff Heer joined CardioDx in 2009 as Vice President, Operations and Administration, and is responsible for Commercial Lab and Company Operations, Finance, IT, RAQA, Customer Service and Human Resources. He has 18 years experience in the medical device industry. Most recently he was the Vice President, Operations of Peak Surgical, where he helped lead the company through the development phase to commercialization. Previously he was VP Global Supply Chain for Siemens Ultrasound, and spent 12 years at Stryker Endoscopy in Sales, Marketing, Operations and Plant Manager roles.  Jeff graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a BS in General Engineering.


Susan Daniels, Ph. D. Vice President, Development

Susan joined CardioDx in 2004 and is responsible for the development of the company's genomic testing products. She has over 17 years experience in the genomics industry.  Prior to CardioDx, Susan was the Vice President of Curation Sciences at Incyte where she was responsible for managing the development of their genomic information products. In that role, Susan managed several multimillion dollar drug discovery and target validation collaborations with pharmaceutical companies. Prior to Incyte, Susan was a senior scientist at Axys Pharmaceuticals (formerly Sequana Therapeutics) where she managed projects focused on mapping genes linked to complex inflammatory disorders. Her postdoctoral research was carried out at the Welcome Trust Center for Human Genetics at Oxford University. There she completed a genome wide linkage analysis study that led to the identification of a number of genes associated with asthma. Susan received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Wales, Cardiff in the United Kingdom.
