Corus™ CAD is the first and only clinically validated gene expression test that objectively quantifies the likelihood of obstructive* coronary artery disease (CAD) in a stable chest pain patient. When used in conjunction with standard clinical assessments, Corus CAD is tailored to identify an individual patient's likelihood of having obstructive CAD.
With its high sensitivity and negative predictive value, Corus CAD helps physicians minimize the risk of not detecting patients with obstructive CAD. This has been demonstrated in the clinical validation study from the PREDICT1 trial. Details of the development and validation of Corus CAD are expected to be presented in late 2009.
