Unique Biological Insight
Corus™ CAD is the first and only clinically validated gene expression test to deliver biological insight about obstructive* coronary artery disease (CAD). CAD develops due to a complex set of genetic, inflammatory, and environmental factors.1-4 By analyzing key sets of genes that are expressed in circulating blood cells, Corus CAD detects a reliable molecular signature that identifies patients who are likely to have obstructive CAD.5,6
- Based on a clinically validated algorithm comprised of expression levels of 23 genes demonstrated to indicate obstructive CAD
- Multi-factorial assessment of obstructive CAD based on the activity of cells and genes involved in the development of and/or response to atherosclerosis, rather than on anatomical or functional cardiac abnormalities

More Corus CAD Benefits.
* Obstructive CAD is defined as at least one atherosclerotic plaque causing ≥50% luminal diameter stenosis in a major coronary artery (≥1.5 mm lumen diameter) as determined by invasive quantitative coronary angiography (QCA).
