Test Process and Workflow

Corus® CAD is designed to be a safe and convenient blood test that can be easily integrated into any practice setting. The test requires a quick, routine blood draw that can be obtained on the same day as the patient’s office visit. Once the patient’s blood sample is collected, the sample is shipped to the CardioDx® CLIA-certified1 Commercial Laboratory via the innovative, all-in-one Corus CAD Patient Sample Kit, complete with sample collection materials, the easy-to-use NanoCool® Cooling System (replacing the need for dry ice or cooling packs), and FedEx® shipping labels.

When the patient sample arrives at the CardioDx Commercial Laboratory, the sample will undergo sophisticated automated laboratory processes using advanced robotic technology and multiple real-time quality controls to ensure reliable and reproducible results delivered in a timely manner.  Patient test results are delivered automatically to the ordering clinician, by fax and/or the secure web-based Clinician Access Portal, within about two days of receiving the patient sample at the CardioDx Commercial Laboratory.
