Corus CAD: Test Process & Workflow
Corus CAD is designed to be a safe and convenient blood test that can be easily integrated into any practice setting. The test requires a quick, routine blood draw that can be obtained on the same day as the patient’s initial office visit.
The Corus CAD test process requires only three easy steps:
Step 1: Complete the Test Requisition Form
Step 2: Draw the patient's blood
Step 3: Ship the blood sample to CardioDx using the all-in-one Corus CAD Patient Sample Kit, complete with sample collection materials, the easy-to-use NanoCool® Cooling System (replacing the need for dry ice or freezer packs), and FedEx® shipping labels.
Sample Processing and Test Results
When the patient sample arrives at the CardioDx Commercial Laboratory (CLIA1-certified and CAP2-accredited), the sample will undergo sophisticated automated laboratory processes using advanced robotic technology and multiple real-time quality controls to ensure reliable and reproducible results are delivered in a timely manner. Patient test results are delivered automatically to the ordering clinician by fax and/or the secure web-based Clinician Access Portal within a few days of receiving the patient sample at the CardioDx Commercial Laboratory.
