CardioDx is a company comprised of physicians, scientists and industry professionals focused on improving the care of patients with cardiovascular disease by developing and commercializing safe, non-invasive genomic tests. The test results provide physicians with unique biological information about cardiovascular disease and help them provide the best possible individualized care.
The tests that we are developing are based on advances made within the field of genomic medicine. We are focused on three areas of cardiovascular disease: coronary artery disease (CAD), cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.
The company’s ground-breaking work in coronary artery disease has culminated in the commercial release of Corus™ CAD in the United States. Corus CAD:
- Is a blood-based test that measures the expression levels, or activity, of 23 genes that have been demonstrated to indicate obstructive* CAD
- Gives your physician a score that indicates the likelihood that you have obstructive CAD
- Provides your physician with unique and objective information about what may be causing your chest pain symptoms
- Is simple, safe and convenient, requiring only a routine blood draw procedure
* Obstructive CAD is defined as at least one atherosclerotic plaque causing ≥50% luminal diameter stenosis in a major coronary artery (≥1.5 mm lumen diameter) as determined by invasive quantitative coronary angiography (QCA).
