David Levison
President and CEO
David Levison is the Founder, CEO, and Director of CardioDx. Prior to launching CardioDx, David was a Venture Partner at TPG Ventures and was the CEO of XDx. Previously, he was the founder, President and CEO of iScribe (which was sold to AdvancePCS-now Caremark in December, 2001). Prior to iScribe, David was President of Oncology Therapeutics Network (sold to Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1996). David also served as CFO of OTN's parent company, Axion, from 1990 to 1993. Prior to Axion, he was with Cole Gilburne Fund, an early stage, technology focused venture capital firm. David received his MBA from Stanford University and BS from Williams College.


Philip Sager, MD, FACC, FAHA, FHRS
Chief Medical Officer
Philip Sager is the Chief Medical Officer of CardioDx. Prior to joining CardioDx in 2008, Philip was Executive Director at AstraZeneca Inc responsible for the medical/scientific leadership of several worldwide pharmaceutical development programs and the corporate strategies regarding QT/arrhythmia issues in drug development. From 2001-2004 he was a Director at the Schering-Plough Research Institute where he played key roles for Vytorin and Zetia. He joined the pharmaceutical industry after 11 years at the UCLA School of Medicine where he was a tenured faculty member in cardiology. Philip is Co-Chair of the Scientific Oversight Committee and Executive Committee member of the FDA-sponsored Cardiac Safety Research Consortium and is a member of the International Committee on Harmonization (ICH) E14 Expert Group. Philip graduated from MIT with degrees in Biology and Chemistry and attended Yale School of Medicine, where he also completed his medical internship, residency, cardiology, and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Cardiac Electrophysiology and has published more than 150 scientific manuscripts and abstracts.


Steve Rosenberg, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer
Steve Rosenberg is the Chief Scientific Officer of CardioDx, having responsibility for the scientific staff and progress in the areas of genomics, genetics, and informatics. Prior to joining CardioDx in 2006, Steve spent the previous 3 years as CSO of XDx, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company focused on diseases of the immune system. He led the group which developed AlloMap molecular testing for heart transplant patients, the first genomics based test in transplant immunology. In addition, Steve is currently on the Boards of Directors of KMT Hepatech and Biotech Partners, as well as the Scientific Advisory Boards of Nodality, Inc. and XDx. Prior to XDx, Steve was a consultant and visiting scholar at UC Berkeley. From 1981 to 2001 he was at Chiron Corporation where he was named one of only three Chiron Research Fellows. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from UC Berkeley in 1978 and is the author of more than 40 scientific publications and an inventor on more than 20 US Patents.


Deborah L. Kilpatrick, Ph.D.
Vice President, Market Development
Deborah Kilpatrick is the Vice President of Market Development at CardioDx. Previously, she was a Director of Research and Development at the Vascular Intervention Division of Guidant Corporation, where she also held leadership roles in the New Ventures Group. Deborah serves on the Advisory Board for the Georgia Tech College of Engineering and on the Board of Directors for the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation. She is a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering, and she has been given a Rising Star award by the Healthcare Businesswomen's Association and a Spotlight Award by the Professional Women's Healthcare Alliance. Deborah holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a focus in cardiovascular bioengineering from Georgia Tech.


Melinda Thomas
Vice President, Operations
Melinda Thomas is the Vice President of Operations for CardioDx, Inc. In this role she has responsibility for Finance, HR, Vendor Relations and all non-R&D operations. She has 15 years of experience in the Life Sciences and Biotech industry. Most recently she was the first non-founder employee and VP, Operations of ParAllele BioScience (acquired by Affymetrix). She helped lead the company through its successful Series A phase. Prior to that she was with Molecular Dynamics as the Director of Manufacturing. She joined MD pre-IPO and helped build it through its acquisition and integration by Amersham Pharmacia. Melinda holds a B.S. in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
